FOR the first time Echuca-Moama will be able to watch one of the biggest football matches of the year live on any device.
The Three Jacks Trophy football game will be streamed at riverineherald.com.au when Echuca United and Moama Football Club go head to head on Good Friday to open the Murray Football Netball League.
Brought to you by the Moama Bowling Club, this means no matter where you are you can watch the game.
Echuca United president Lucas Walker said the club was excited about the live stream which will feature commentary from Foxy and JR.
‘‘We have a lot of past players no longer in town,’’ Walker said.
‘‘It means that guys like that get the opportunity to still be a part of the game and the club they love.’’
Walker said the stream would also expose the rivalry to a whole new community.
‘‘It’s a huge game for our town,’’ Walker said.
‘‘It means a lot to everyone here, but the stream means we can show this to the whole of the Goulburn Valley, show them what our league and our clubs have to offer.’’
Moama Football Netball Club president David Grubb said it was a fantastic opportunity for both clubs.
“This opens up a new set of opportunities for us,’’ Grubb said.
‘‘For our players and sponsors, as well as for the brand of Moama Football Netball Club, to have this kind of exposure to such a big audience, it’s fantastic. It opens up the possibilities for all clubs to find a wider audience for our game.’’
The Three Jacks event, which includes senior and junior netball as well as senior and junior football, will be held at the Echuca South Recreational Reserve.
